PlayStation Portable (PSP)

The PlayStation Portable (PSP), released by Sony in 2004, was a powerful handheld console with 3D graphics that rivaled the home consoles of its time. It offered a large library of games, including hits such as God of War: Chains of Olympus, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories. In addition to games, the PSP supported movies, music and Internet access, making it a versatile entertainment device. With over 80 million units sold worldwide, it was a huge success.

Dreamcast

The Dreamcast, released by Sega in 1999, was the company's last home console. Despite its short life cycle, it is considered one of the most innovative consoles of its time. The Dreamcast was the first console with a built-in modem for online gaming and offered impressive graphics for its era. Titles such as Sonic Adventure, Shenmue and Jet Set Radio made the console a cult classic. Despite technical innovations, however, it was unable to compete with rivals such as the PlayStation 2.

PlayStation 1

The PlayStation 1 (PS1), released by Sony in 1994, marked the company's entry into the world of games consoles and revolutionized the industry with its CD-ROM technology. SFC (Super Famicom)

The Super Famicom (SFC for short), the Japanese version of the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), was released by Nintendo in Japan in 1990. It continued the success story of the Famicom and offered significantly improved graphics and sound quality thanks to its 16-bit technology. Games such as Super Mario World, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Super Metroid shaped the era and made the Super Famicom one of the most influential consoles of the 1990s. Today, it is considered a classic in video game history.

Famicom

The Famicom (short for "Family Computer") was released by Nintendo in Japan in 1983 and is the Japanese version of the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). It revolutionized the gaming industry with its 8-bit technology and spawned iconic games such as Super Mario Bros, The Legend of Zelda and Donkey Kong. The Famicom was the beginning of Nintendo's success in the console world and laid the foundation for many of the most popular franchises that still exist today.

Super Nintendo (SNES)

The Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) was released by Nintendo in 1990 as the successor to the Famicom. It was based on 16-bit technology and offered significantly improved graphics and sound quality compared to its predecessor. With legendary games such as Super Mario World, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, and Super Metroid, the SNES made its mark on 90s video game culture. It enabled more complex gameplay mechanics and established Nintendo as the leading console manufacturer. Today, the SNES is considered one of the best consoles in video game history.

Sega NAOMI

The Sega NAOMI (New Arcade Operation Machine Idea) was an arcade platform released in 1998 and based on the hardware of the Dreamcast console. It was known for its performance and expanded memory capacity, which allowed for larger and more complex games. Many popular arcade games such as Marvel vs. Capcom 2, Virtua Tennis and Crazy Taxi were developed on the NAOMI hardware. The platform was very popular with arcade operators due to its cost efficiency and longevity and contributed to Sega's success in arcades.

Nintendo DS

The Nintendo DS was released by Nintendo in 2004 and was one of the first handheld consoles to introduce a dual screen, one of which was a touchscreen. This innovative approach enabled new game mechanics and was groundbreaking for mobile gaming. Games such as New Super Mario Bros, Mario Kart DS and The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass became popular on the DS.
